ESB Creative Tech Fest will celebrate the work of young people and educators on the 28th of October 2020 from across Ireland – showcasing any digital creativity projects, engineered inventions and scientific inspirations to inspire future generations!

ESB Creative Tech Fest 2020

28th of October 2020

A national celebration for young people aged 12–18 to engage in educational and inspirational technology workshops. Exhibit and demo their own creations and meet other like minded young TechSpacers from all counties across Ireland.

Start to get in touch with your local youth club, school or speak to your parent to see if they would like to participate in the TechSpace Network. Contact us for more information and support on submitting awards and registering your interest to take part in our annual celebration event 2020!

Award Categories for ESB Creative Tech Fest are Live!

ESB TechSpace Awards | Creative Computer Science | Digital Creativity | STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math)

Over 20 awards are now live and accepting projects submissions. Winners will be announced in a live celebration on the 28th of October 2020. If you require any assistance bringing your project to fruition or getting your project to ESB Creative Tech Fest on October 28th contact TechSpace Programme Manager Jen Hesnan on jenniferhesnan@camara.ie to avail of support from Camara Education Ireland’s creative team.

Open Mic, Youth Film, Graphic Design, Photography, Animation, Sound

Do you have a short film, photography, animation, design piece , sound production or even animation that you want to showcase? Your ESB Creative Tech Fest award entries will be celebrated in this year’s Digital Creativity Virtual Exhibition Space.

Let us know if you need any support to export, print or deliver your projects and we’ll make sure you are supported to get your creations on display!

STEAM Demos, Inventions, Programming, Robotics, Circuits, Solutions, Makers

A dedicated virtual reality space will be available to exhibit your award entries this year and will be part of the celebrations on the 28th of October. We want to showcase your TechSpace inventions, programming, robotics, circuits, solutions, microbits, arduinos, hologram, soldering, handmade musical instruments, race cars, fashion scribble bots, Lego creations… and what ever else you can think of!

TechSpace Sustainability Superhero

Submit an award for your sustainable project or idea using Technology

The leadership that young people from across the Ireland have shown for action on the Global Sustainability Goals this year is amazing!, The ESB Creative Tech Fest will be celebrating any project that has used technology to express their ideas and views on this topic. Submit your projects and be recognised for the superhero you are!

Nominate a young TechSpacer of the year

This year we are putting an open call out to all TechSpace Educators to submit an application form for a young TechSpacer within their group to win 2020’s TechSpacer of the Year Award! If you are working with a young person that has inspired you this year make sure you put there name in!

TechSpace Educator of the Year

Nominate a youthworker, teacher or volunteer for this year’s TechSpace Educator Of the Year!

This year we are putting an open call out to anyone working with young people through the TechSpace programme, if you know a youth worker, volunteer or teacher that deserves to be named TechSpace Educator of the year submit an application form and we’ll make sure they are in with a chance!

TechSpace Digital Creativity Award Categories

Are you an Animator? Film-Maker? Photographer? A Designer? Musician? A Broadcaster?

Get closer to the microphone, find your love of photography, get creative with those smartphones, make your latest song or beat stand-out on screen or showcase what you can do with creative softwares! In ESB Creative Tech Fest’s Digital Creativity Awards there is opportunity for everyone to create, invent and inspire!

Inspiring award winners will be announced on the 28th of October in the following catagories – Sound Production Award, Photography Award, Short Film Award, Sound Production Award, Photography Award, Short Film Award, Best Music Video, Best Design

ESB STEAM Award Categories

Are you a maker? An inventor ? An engineer? An experimenter? A problem solver?

From soldering circuitry to science experiments there are no limits to things you can create for the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Award, Maths) Award category! Are you interested in tackling global or local sustainablity issues? This category acknowledges projects that are focused on economic, environmental, and social sustainability solutions or ideas!

There will be amazing awards an prizes available on the 28th of October for ESB Cretaive Tech Fest under the following categories – Best STEAM award, Sustainable STEAM project, ESN Energy for Generations Award and the Engineer of the Imagination Award

2020 has been a challenging year in the face of education, but it’s brought out the best in innovation.
