TechSpace training and support sponsored by ESB and SIFI
As part of the ESB Energy for Generation fund and Social Innovation Fund, Camara Education Ireland will develop partnerships with TÚSLA and School Completion Programme Youth Services to join the TechSpace Network. Offering training, equipment, resources and support for 300 staff nationally who are working with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. This will support TÚSLA Services to enable staff to use STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) to support young people have the opportunity for a brighter future. Trainings are available online and equipment can be sent directly to staff who are taking part. Subject to restrictions in place as advised by the HSE and Government of Ireland.

Clár TechSpace – Maonithe ag an Roinn Cúltúir, Oidhreachta agus na Gaeltachta
Clár TechSpace is a project funded by An Roinn Cultúir Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta and is managed by Camara Education Ireland. Camara Education Ireland train and support educators who take part in the TechSpace programme through Irish from Gaeltacht schools, Gaelscoileanna and youth organisations working with young people aged 10-18 across Ireland. As well as this, each Educator or Youth Worker who join’s the Clár TechSpace Network, completes a training and commits to enhancing their practice through Irish using Digital Creativity and STEAM skills will recieve in person and online support through their local Offigeach TechSpace , equipment grants and tickets to the annual celebration event Tech Féile. Camara Education Ireland are working with a multitude of innovative partners to deliver Clár TechSpace to ensure that high quality ICT education and inspiration is available for young people in Ireland through the Irish Language.

Foróige TechSpace Grants Available Proudly Sponsored by Google.org
Small grants are available to Foróige Clubs & Projects through the CS @ Foróige TechSpace project Sponsored by Google.org in partnership with Camara Ireland.
Grants are available up to €1,000
– Available to Foróige Clubs and Projects that have completed TechSpace training or are planning to do so in the next 2 months
– Grant spending must be used to begin or enhance Foróige TechSpace activity with young people
– Examples of possible areas of grant use: Equipment, Training, Software Licenses, etc.
– Applications should show clear rationale and a focus on the needs of the young people involved
– Successful applications must provide evidence of outcomes for young people and financial evidence of grant spend.

CS @ Foróige TechSpace is a creative partnership between Foróige and Camara Education Ireland, proudly sponsored by Google.org to bring Computer Science (CS) education training, activities, support, events, and professional qualifications to 350 youth workers and 3000 young people across the entire youth sector in Ireland.
It brings together the best of youth, charity and corporate sectors to develop an innovative programme that empowers professional and voluntary Foróige youth workers to embed computer science and 21st Century skills in their work with young people.

CDYSB TechSpace for volunteer youth clubs and groups in Dublin City Centre
CDYSB has partnered with Camara Ireland to support youth projects and services within the Dublin area. Designed for educators and volunteers alike, participants explore the use of Digital Creativity to facilitate high-quality, 21st century youth experiences. On joining the network, members may apply for grants, attend key events and receive ongoing supports from TechSpace central. For more information, contact us with your CDYSB club or group’s details.

NYCI STEAM in Youth Work Project funded by Science Foundation Ireland
This project is supporting youth workers to inspire young people to create, invent and make with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM). As well as receiving a day of hands-on Maker Training, youth workers will receive a grant for equipment that can be used to deliver technology-enhanced activities spanning electronics, robotics and coding to music, arts and crafts. Youth workers will also have access to follow-up support, resources, an online community of practice and much, much more.
Inver in the Community initiatives have kindly supported the TechSpace Programme helped it to grow since it was founded in 2012, they have trained and supported for youth services such as Foróige, Youth Work Ireland and KDYS near their local service stations across Ireland to set up and develop TechSpace. TechSpaces are creative places for young people from all backgrounds to learn how to create invent and inspire with technology. Young people explore skills such as coding, robotics, gaming, film-making and graphic design for free in their local community youth projects.
