Jen Hesnan

Programme Manager for TechSpace with social enterprise Camara Education Ireland. An experienced and published youth arts developer and creative facilitator she has spent the last ten years’ engaging young people and educators through creative arts from various cultural backgrounds through education and youth development. Jen works on growing the community of partners that support the TechSpace Network, as well as supporting the TechSpace Team at Camara Education Ireland. She’s operating on a vision for growing the provision of the TechSpace Network to reach all young people in Ireland. She’s managed some large scale events for Camara such as ESB Creative Tech Fest.  An experienced trainer in specialised programmes and facilitation techniques, including TechSpace as Gaeilge through her native tongue, the Irish language. She’s always good for a tune on the violin as well.

Aidan has applied his creative mind to develop and design exciting and intutiive ways to facilitate young people to be more than just consumers of computer science, but also important creators of coding projects, augmented reality, articfical intellegence and computational thinkers. Aidan also somehow finds the time every year to script and direct his very own theatre shows in Dublin City.

Seamus is a gealach na geal, he is usually found in the West of Ireland developing and designing partnership projects that bring the Irish Language element of the TechSpace programme to life. To the forefront of new technology for young people in Ireland. You will also see him traveling the country supporting Cluster Coordinators and the Education Team to develop and deliver training for teachers and youth workers through Irish.  Oh yeah and he has his own radio show on Galway Bay FM as well, as you do.

The subtle thinker and developer, Janice has been the fuel to the TechSpace Movement since it’s inception in 2015. her dedication to research, resources and curriculum development is changing of face of education. She has a keen eye for design and graphics as well, always a helpful hawkeye to have around.

After producing TechFeile 2018, ESB Creative Tech Fest 2018 and TechFeile 2019 –  Feilim is fast becoming a whizz at fitting 300 young people into an eventful celebration of inventions, creations, and inspirations at Camara education Ireland’s Annual TechSpace Festivals. He is now embarking on developing and designing new and exciting curriculum and resources for the Digital Creativity programme for Clár TechSpace, watch out for his ideas on the digital showcase and projection mapping.  He also produces theatre, writes songs, writes plays, plays guitar, actor, sings…you know.. one of those creatives….

Ciaran supports local volunteer and inner-city youth projects to deliver creative media film-making, graphic design and greenscreen with young people. From music recording to animation to mobile journalism, Ciaran has the opportunities and the means to support those that want to express their digital creativity in Dublin volunteer-led youth clubs! He is also a visual DJ, so if you have any bangin tunes you would like to animate give him a shout.

Miriam is our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) genius, she develops, designs, researches and supports the growth of exciting and creative ways to facilitate activities and projects with young people. She encourages TechSpace network members to explore the fundamentals of STEAM and to showcase the creative minds of the future. Word on the street is that, Miriam is often known to play in a ukulele band and occasionally embroider images of David Bowie.

Marianne enjoys working with the team in Camara Ireland with strategic vision, a positive outlook and a sustainable focus. Marianne has over 20 years experience in the social sector with a focus on technology based innovation for youth development and education. She loves working on creative social change initiatives and has held senior and leadership roles and before Camara Ireland was Founder and CEO of iScoil. She is also currently a voluntary Board Director of the Social Finance Foundation.

He holds the key to your IT and Software enquires, he’s fast, efficient and helpful. If it’s within his means, he’ll help with your Camara IT and Infrastructure. Ask him anything about Italian Soccer.

Jules has a background in audio engineering and all things computers. She loves to find new and creative ways to bring STEAM education to all. You’ll find her creating new STEAM education resources for Clár TechSpace or working on an army of robots. She’s particularly interested in working to create an inclusive environment in STEAM education. She’s also a softie, and will rehome any parrot with a sad story or a missing wing.

With a background in youth work, digital design and delivering STEAM projects with young people, Leigha is a ball fo energy that will inspire you to get Digital Creativity and STEAM activities running in your youth project or school. In her spare time, Leigha collects stray dogs, to form a secret dog army.
